Mission of the Parks and Recreation Foundation of Victoria:
- To enhance the parks system, community leisure services, recreation services, public art and education within, but not restricted to, the City of Victoria;
- To receive and actively solicit donations and bequests of land, money, gifts in kind and services for: An endowment fund and/or Special projects approved by the foundation;
- To administer any donations and bequests and to invest and expend funds which are granted or donated to it in furtherance of the purposes of the foundation;
- To publicly recognize any donations and bequests, with the consent of the donor;
- To hold title to real property that is dedicated to public enjoyment through community leisure and recreation services;
- To consider other undertakings which may be referred to the foundation by the City of Victoria or other public bodies, subject to the consent of the directors.
